Driving Directions & Bus Parking Options

DIRECTIONS:

From 1-5:

Take the City Center Exit, #133. Exit at South 21st Street and veer left to Pacific Avenue. Turn right on Pacific Avenue and then immediately turn right again into WSHM parking lot located just south of the building. Look for the big brick arches!

CAR/VAN PARKING:

Parking is available in the lots at the South and East ends of the building. $3 for 0-3 hours; $5 for 3-5 hours; and $7 for all day. Rates are subject to change.

NOTE TO BUS DRIVERS:

Enter the museum lot by driving past the museum/Union Station and turning right on 15th Street. Turn right onto Hood Street (under the overpass) and turn left into the Union Station/federal Courts parking lot. Proceed along the access road (beware construction) to the museum lot. Unload passengers in the Bus Loading Zone at the bottom of the concrete ramps.

BUS PARKING:

We are unable to accommodate bus parking in the museum lot. During the construction period, your driver will be given instructions for parking and loading.

Buses may occupy the museum's bus loading zone for 15 minutes at group drop-off/pick-up times.

	From I-5 take the 705/City Center Exit. Once on 705, take the 21st Street Exit. Veer left at the top of the ramp, then turn right at the light onto Pacific Avenue. You'll see the museum from the off-ramp - just look for the big brick arches. There is parking located next to the building.
	If the lot next to the building is full, follow the access road behind the museum, Union Station and the U. S. Courthouse to the next parking lot.
	If this lot is full, exit at the far end (Hood Street) and turn left. Turn left again onto Pacific Avenue, then turn right up the hill on 21st Street. Just after the railroad tracks, turn right into the Diamond Parking lot.
	Alternatively, you can drive straight up 21st to Market Street, turn right, then park in the lot located at 19th and Market.
Be prepared to pay at any of the lots listed here. Rates are posted. From parking lots # 3 or 4, walk to the corner of 19th and look down the hill. The big arch at the bottom of the hill is the entrance to the museum. Walk straight down the hill through the University of Washington Tacoma campus.
