Tips for a Successful Museum Visit
- Don't forget to bring your confirmation letter with you to the museum. This is your proof of pre-registration and is essential to the payment process.
- If your students/group members are paying individually, please collect all admission money before you arrive at the museum.
- Make sure you have enough chaperones: a ratio of one adult chaperone to every five students is crucial to facilitating your museum visit and maintaining group order.
- Don't arrive before your scheduled time. Other groups may have been scheduled prior to yours, making the accommodation of early arrivals very difficult.
- Please feel free to use the WSHM activity sheets provided in the WSHM Field Guide (or adapt them to meet the needs of your class) to insure that your students are working with direction while in the exhibit.
- Please bring bags and backpacks that are no larger than 8.5" x 11". For those teachers needing to carry students' medication with them, we will have red fanny packs for you to borrow from the Security Office.
And remember, when you arrive gather in the outdoor amphitheater to meet your museum greeter.
